Lasting Urge, Craving You

Before you read these words and try to find their meaning, 

Think of that special person that makes your flaws redeeming.

That smile, those eyes mean more to me than beauty of its own.

It's your smile which comforts me at once and I just feel at home.

Although I may will go too far by writing these words down,

I still will say I like you much, yet more than I have shown.

Your humor was refreshing like cold water in the desert.

I hope that someone told you that your grace cannot be measured.

To kiss your lips was summer rain and made me feel at ease.

Your breath became my autumn's breeze, my soul just felt at peace

I don't mean to overdo and blow this out of proportion

But your presence and your nature drag me out my distortion.

So I'm watching the dark, fridgid sky of the night

And look for the diamonds which shine on so bright.

And maybe it's a bad idea to think of you each day
But your memory still keeps me warm, as warm as a sunray.

People say it's not worth it to keep these things alive
But life would be too sad for me, so I just jump and dive.

After all I'm still certain: we're not ships in the night.

One day, I know truly, we will reunite.
